The challenge
What the venue needed
Berenjak’s Mayfair site on Duke Street spans a ground floor and basement. Compact sites are unforgiving: there is no spare room in the comms cabinet, no slack in the cable routes and no tolerance for a wireless design that leaves the basement short. The venue still needed the group’s full technology stack, connectivity resilience without the space for a duplicated enterprise design, and every third-party provider coordinated into one patching schedule inside a single cabinet.
Our approach
What MicroNet delivered
- 01
Developed the IT infrastructure framework across both floors, covering cloud services, front and back-of-house systems, network and firewall security, EPOS, payment gateways, HR and time and attendance, printing, mobile device management, telephony, CCTV, door access and comms cabinet design, with PCI and GDPR requirements applied to the design.
- 02
Specified a dual-WAN firewall so the site carries a second internet path in a single rack-mounted unit, resilience proportionate to a compact venue.
- 03
Supplied and configured managed PoE switching with cloud controller licensing, sized for the site’s third-party load, with spanning tree, virtual stack configuration, VLANs and port allocation.
- 04
Set up the rack cabinet to the agreed design with surge-protected power distribution and cable management, labelled it and created the patching schedule, then patched every device including third-party providers.
- 05
Completed off-site wireless heat mapping across ground floor and basement, deployed the access points, documented them on the UniFi managed cloud controller and configured the required SSIDs, with guest Wi-Fi arranged in line with the public opening.
- 06
Preconfigured all supplied systems off-site before deployment so onsite time was spent on integration rather than build, then reviewed network structure and patching with every third-party installation team and delivered the site documentation set.

Outcome
What the venue got
Outcomes as published by MicroNet Global for this project.
Full group capability landed in a single well-ordered cabinet across two floors.
Resilience proportionate to the site, with dual-WAN failover delivered in one rack unit rather than a duplicated enterprise stack.
Wireless coverage carried through the basement, heat mapped before deployment on the platform the group already runs.
Off-site build and on-site integration, compressing the onsite window inside a live construction programme.
A documented site, with schematics, user systems, third-party integration detail and an asset list handed over at close.
