The challenge
What the venue needed
A premium venue on one of London's busiest pedestrian routes, connecting the King's Cross transport hub to Granary Square. The infrastructure had to carry guest-facing and back-of-house demands together, with resilience good enough that a single connectivity fault could not stop trading.
Our approach
What MicroNet delivered
- 01
Developed the IT strategy and infrastructure plan covering wired and wireless networks, data security and business continuity.
- 02
Designed LAN architecture with VLAN segmentation and planned redundancy throughout.
- 03
Deployed SD-WAN with fibre primary and 4G backup failover.
- 04
Ran predictive and physical Wi-Fi heatmapping for full indoor and outdoor coverage, managed through the Ruckus cloud controller.
- 05
Provisioned front- and back-of-house hardware, secure Microsoft 365 with MFA, OneDrive and SharePoint, and mobile device management across every device.
- 06
Coordinated patching with the EPOS, PDQ, CCTV, access control, VoIP and IoT vendors, with capacity planned for hospitality-specific systems.
- 07
Held on-site standby through pre-opening and live operations, then handed over full documentation to the operations team.
